The NYAPT website ( www.nyapt.org ) now has information
posted about:
KIDS SAY STOP! Bumper Sticker Contest---that information can be found on the FAMILY and INDUSTRY NEWS button, under Operation
Safe Stop. Note the June 1st deadline for bumper stickers to be submitted.
ABCs of School Transportation --this program will be available on July 11th for Roadeo participants as well as those who had
enrolled in the Summer Safety Camp prior to it being cancelled. Please go to the
NYAPT site, and scroll down to get to the
description of the program and click on the prompt to open up an application!

A message from Peter Mannella, Executive Director, NYAPT:
As you know, we have had to cancel the 2010 Safety Camp program originally scheduled for June 25-27.
I am pleased to announce that the Safety Camp and Road-eo committees have gotten together and devised a brand new program
opportunity that will be open to those who had signed up for the Safety Camp and for all those who register as participants in
the Big Three Roadeo Day.
The program will begin at 7:30 on Sunday morning (July 11th) following Saturday's Roadeo and conclude before 12:00 noon.
Coffee and muffins will be served to all registered attendees that morning.
The program will bring together three of the industry's premier trainer/educators: Kathy Furneaux, Bill Hoosty, and Ted
Finlayson-Schueler to discuss some A-B-C's of school bus driving. Bill will present on ATTITUDE, Kathy will present on BULLYING
and Ted will present on COMMUNICATIONS (with a special ed angle). We thank them for giving of their time and talents to offer
this new and exciting program.
Registration forms for the morning program will be posted to the NYAPT
Website tomorrow but registration is limited for this year to Roadeo participants and to those who had enrolled in the
Safety Camp. The cost for the morning program this year is $20.00 per person.
Thanks to the Committees (JoAnn Martin and Chuck Paquette, Chairs) for their leadership in seeking out new ways to provide
programs and services and to our instructors for their generosity of spirit and talents!
